Q. My abstract has been accepted for oral presentation, must I submit a paper for review?
A. Yes, you must submit a full paper and an updated abstract before 1st of March using the provided templates. Through the reviewing process we want to ensure that the papers are of high quality to the benefit of the target audience and the authors themselves.
Q. My abstract has been accepted for poster presentation, must I submit a paper for review?
A. Yes, you must update your abstract and we encourage you to submit a full paper using the provided templates before 1st of March (see next question also).
Q. What will my full paper be used for?
A. Full papers will be distributed to all participants on a USB stick, giving the opportunity to participants, having visited the poster session, or having attended to an oral presentation, to get more complete information. Full papers will also be referenced in international data bases, giving world wide access to the literature and allowing authors to mention their paper in their periodic evaluation process.
Q. Why do I need to submit a revised abstract?
A. Abstract will be published in a printed book 170 x 250 mm paper size (W x H mm). Using the template you can download from the web site, your abstract should be no longer than one full page. That's why you may have to adjust your initial abstract.
Q. Can you use my original abstract as the revised abstract?
A. It's unlikely your original abstract will follow the required template. Abstracts will be published in a printed book 170 x 250 mm paper size (W x H mm), using the template you can download from the web site. To ensure your abstract matches the template please upload it again during the paper submission process.
Q. Must I attend the conference if I have been accepted for poster presentation?
A. Yourself or one of you co-authors should attend the conference to have the opportunity of presenting your poster during the poster sessions. These will take place in a very busy networking location.
Q. Will my paper be published anywhere other than the conference proceedings?
A. All papers will be indexed in main databases (Google Scholar, CAS, DOAJ, Web of Science, in evaluation by Scopus). They will become integral parts of the technical literature and will be easily found online. The opportunity will be given to a selected number of papers to be published in special issues of peer-reviews journals (Journal of Flood Risk Management, La Houille Blanche), under the usual requirements of those journals.
