I'm pleased to announce that the abstract submission for the FLOODrisk2016 conference is now open. The deadline for submitting your abstracts is 2nd September 2015.

Abstracts and paper review is essential to maintain the overall standard of the conference, and to ensure high quality and relevant discussion. All abstracts submitted to the conference will be independently assessed by members of the International Scientific Committee (ISC). They will grade the abstract on relevance, originality, breadth, completeness and clarity.

Authors will be notified of the preliminary acceptance of their submission for either oral or poster presentation by 4 November 2015. The distinction between oral and poster presentation will, amongst others, be based in practical and interdisciplinary relevance. Those authors invited to present a paper at the conference must submit a draft version for review by the ISC by 15 February 2016. The review will identify whether the paper still fulfils the promise of the abstract; whether it is original; complete; clear and correct. Reviewers will, as required, feedback comments and suggestions to the author which should be addressed prior to final paper submission. Authors must submit camera ready copies of final papers by 13 May 2016.
