CIrcle – Critical Infrastructures: Relations and Consequences for Life and Environment - CIrcle is a touch table application, developed by Deltares, for discussing cascading effects of floods with stakeholders and grid operators. Not only the cascading effects themselves will become clear but also the impact. This makes CIrcle an important instrument for impact and resilience analyses. Presentation by Maya Sule.

HR Wallingford - Demonstration of recently updated methods and tools to support the reliability analysis of flood defences, with case study applications. There will be an opportunity to trial the tools, exploring the sensitivity of different parameters, followed by an open discussion on their application and use in practice

Wednesday 19th, 12:30 - 13:30

XPSWMM - a demonstration of XPSWMM : Storm, Sewer and Flood Model. Presentation of the 3 models : 1D, 2D and 1D/2D followed by an open debate about the tools, meshing, equation, etc... Presentation by Jennifer Granja.

Wednesday 19th, 17:30 - 18:30

RYTHMME - is a forecasting platform for natural disaster associated with precipitation (measured with new-generation radars) in order to allow local stakeholders to anticipate dangerous events and to improve mountain-related risk management. The presentation in the games room will give the opportunity to connect in real time to the platform. Presentation by Irstea

Thursday 20th, 12:30 - 13:30

Safe Cluster - A Cluster for enabling collaborative innovations in Flood Risk management and for developing integrated solutions for international markets : different SMEs will present their original activities.

Demonstration

Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, 12:30 - 13:30

The remote-controlled ARC-boat used for collecting flow depth and sediment concentration data will be demonstrated on the River Rhône alongside the CCC Lyon. You can view this from the pedestrian bridge (Passerelle de la Paix) near the main entrance.
